Enjoy the luxury of having a bathtub in your house

It is certainly a long-cherished dream for many owners who have enough space available to fit a bathtub inside the bathroom. In addition to being a decorative element, a bathtub is also a source of great relaxation. You do not necessarily have to use it every day: the bathtub makes the atmosphere more welcoming and arouses wonderful feelings simply with its presence in the room. Two bathrooms in one flat, however, would be sheer luxury and comfort: in this case one of the two bathrooms could be used as a real relaxation area, with an appropriate bathtub that can satisfy all one’s whims. Before talking about the choice of the bathtub, it is important to carefully study the place where it should be positioned (pipes permitting). In order to achieve an impressive and striking effect, the ideal solution would be in the middle of the room, in plain view. On the other hand, if you have a big house, you can install an in-set bathtub, at floor level, by digging a hole of the right size and shape. Unfortunately, if neither solution can be adopted, a classic back-to-wall bathtub could make everyone happy.

A bathroom becomes a home spa with the correct bathtub

Usually, you need to choose a full-option bathtub if you want a luxury bathroom like in a wellness centre. Of course, a whirlpool jacuzzi bath, in this case, is a must. Any moment will be the right one to have a hot bath and listen to some good music, with some candles flickering around the room to create an intimate atmosphere. Moreover, it is possible to recess LED lights in the bottom of the bathtub or in the ceiling to create an even more relaxing atmosphere in the bathroom; attractive, warm coloured lights (lights with adjustable intensity would be perfect), which can create interesting effects based on their position. And what about the choice of materials? You'll be spoiled for choice if you want to obtain a real spa-like luxury bath. For example, you can buy an acrylic bathtub, a very common material that, with its unique finish, gives a touch of class to the whole environment, or a more traditional enamelled bathtub, whose appearance is always appreciable. Furthermore, there are also bathtubs with a wooden frame for which a much more specific maintenance is required.

Building the home spa according to one’s style

If you want to recreate a relaxing atmosphere and a comfortable bathroom and obtain a sort of mini-spa, it is good to furnish the room with the style you best like. In this case, it is possible to choose the most suitable bathtub: for a modern style bathroom, for example, the ideal solution would be an oval shaped bathtub with a curved and soft contour (a similar bathtub is available on the Kerasan web site), to be combined with suspended sanitary fixtures, stone-effect taps and dim lights. Otherwise a squared-shaped or round bathtub is recommended because it perfectly suits the modern style. Alternatively, if you have a bias towards the classic or baroque style, for the joy of mothers and grandmothers, the ideal solution would be a ceramic bathtub in the middle of the room, with its traditional oval shape, and gold-plated taps combined with beautiful sanitary ware. Another example of classic style is a square-shaped ceramic bathtub placed along one of the walls of the room, which always contributes to create an elegant and refined environment.
